I grew up in a Christian home with parents who love the Lord very much. I thank the Lord for putting me in the family that He did so that I could grow up knowing the Lord and His purpose in creating man.

Before I was born my parents discovered the writings of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. They were both helped by the ministry of these two men to walk and live a normal Christian life. Growing up I have also received the benefit of these brothers’ labor in their study of the Word and in their experiences of the Lord.

One main point that has helped me tremendously is the fact that human beings are created with three parts: body, soul, and spirit (1 Thess. 5:23, Heb. 4:12). In his careful study of the Bible, Witness Lee realized that we have a human spirit to contain God who is Spirit. When I prayed to receive the Lord, I received the Spirit into my human spirit (Jn. 3:6). Now He has been joined to me and we are one spirit (1 Cor. 6:17). I am so glad that I know where God dwells! He lives in my spirit, so I can contact Him all the time.

Some of my friends who are Christians did not know that they have a human spirit. They would pray to God, but they thought He was still far away from them. I am so thankful to the Lord for Witness Lee’s ministry on the human spirit. When I showed the verses to them on the human spirit, they were so happy to know that God is living in their spirit. As a result they are able to contact Him all the time instead of just saying prayers and hoping God will hear them thinking He is so far away.

Because God lives in my spirit, and I know that is where He dwells, my spirit is my means to live the Christian life. The Lord in my spirit enables me to live the Christian life.
