Home in the Church

Home in the Church

I was raised in a good family environment where I was always provided with more than I needed. I have two older brothers and our parents raised us with a lot of love. However, as I grew up, my parents’ marriage grew worse and worse. By the time I was in high school, they were barely staying together. Eventually my dad left my mom and now they are divorced.

When I was nineteen, I met some Christians from the local church and within a few months, I knew that I had found my home. I was disillusioned with my family and hadn’t felt at rest in a few years. But as soon as I started touching the Lord again, I found real peace and satisfaction.

Now, after 2½ years with these Christians, I am enjoying happiness through Christ and the local church. There is no disappointment here and no dramatic conflicts here as there are in my family. I still love my family a lot, but they alone cannot meet my needs. Only through loving the Lord and pursuing Him with other Christians can I really be satisfied.
